How a Cmags job actually goes
Cmags is Chris, his sister Francine on operations, and the people who ride in those two vans. Nothing about a job gets handed to a stranger halfway through.
The estimate
No salesperson, no commission on top. The owner drives out, looks at what you already have, measures it, and tells you what it needs. Estimates are free. Customers keep naming this as the reason they went with Cmags over the other three quotes they got.
The install
Carrier, LG and Oxbox equipment, set on a level pad with the electrical disconnect where an inspector can reach it. The part that decides whether a system lasts is not the box outside, it is what the air has to move through to get to you.
The years after
One year on labor, ten years on parts, and service inside 24 to 48 hours when something goes wrong. One reviewer has had Cmags on the same system for over ten years; another since they moved in eight years ago. That is the whole business model.
Step one
Most residential furnaces and air handlers are rated for about half an inch of water column of total external static pressure. That is the whole budget. Everything the air has to get through, filter, coil, supply trunk, returns, every elbow, spends part of it.
Step two
A filter nobody has changed, a return that was undersized the day the house was built, a coil packed with the last few summers. None of it is dramatic on its own. Together they push the reading past what the blower can move against.
Step three
A system fighting high static short cycles, runs hot, ices up in cooling and wears its blower motor out early. Replace the box without fixing the number and the new box inherits the same problem, which is how people end up buying two systems in a decade.
Step four
This is the reason the estimate visit takes longer than a walk around the outside of the house. It is cheaper for everyone to find the restriction before anything is ordered than to discover it on the second warm week of July.

Installation, maintenance and repair, plus the annual inspection: combustion and air-fuel mixture, flue and vent, safety devices, heat exchanger, filter, motor and fan, duct and piping, thermostat. Gas heat is what Cmags does most.
